Revitalising Dandenong’s former sale yards site

Metro Village 3175

Key facts

The former Dandenong sale yards closed in 1998, leaving vacant a site with the potential to become a key gateway to the central Dandenong precinct.

Revitalising Dandenong

Places Victoria has worked in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong to develop a low to medium density residential estate providing diverse housing options.

Metro 3175 has direct access to transport networks and the Dandenong CBD and offers:

  • High-quality urban living
  • Open space
  • Parklands
  • Playgrounds

Upon completion in approximately 2016, the master planned community will be home to up to 3000 people in approximately 1200 dwellings.
